FORWARDING SYSTEM AND FORWARDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine necessity of forwarding in accordance with a user's update state of address information. SOLUTION: A mail forwarding system 10 comprises: an address storing section 13 for storing a former address of an informing terminal 30a before change and a new address of the same after change with associating the former with the latter; a telephone directory storing section 11 for storing telephone directory information of the informing terminal 30a, the directory information being constructed to associate a mail address of an informed terminal 30b with a change flag indicating whether or not a new address of the informing terminal 30a is registered in the informed terminal 30b; a forwarding determination section 19 for determining whether or not new addresses have been registered in all informed terminals 30b on the basis of the telephone directory information within the telephone directory storing section 11; and a mail forwarding section 20 for maintaining a process of changing a mail of the former address for a mail of a new address based on the address data within the address storing section 13 until it is determined that new addresses have been registered in all of the informed terminals 30b.
