PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of enabling a printer to correctly reproduce the same color as the color of an image confirmed by a user on a monitor. SOLUTION: The system includes: a color sample image data storage section 301 for storing color sample image data consisting of several kinds of color patches; an observation condition parameter storage section 305 for storing a first observation condition parameter and a second observation condition parameter; an image display section 303 for displaying a first image on the basis of the first observation condition parameter and the color sample image data; an image forming section 203 for outputting a second image on the basis of the second observation condition parameter and the color sample image data; a similar color designating section 306 for designating a combination of the displayed first image and the second image having the output similar color as that of the first image; and an observation condition parameter deriving section 307 for correcting the second observation condition parameter on the basis of the combination designated by the similar color designating section 306 and deriving a third observation condition parameter.
