ARAMIDE NANOCOMPOSITE WITH ALIPHATIC POLYIMIDE AS MATRIX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanocomposite having an aromatic polyamide dispersed in a matrix resin at a molecular level while giving solubility to organic solvent to the aromatic polyamide without impairing excellent heat resistance, mechanical characteristics and the like essentially owned by the aromatic polyamide. SOLUTION: The aramide nanocomposite comprises an aliphatic polyimide and/or a precursor thereof as a matrix, and an organic solvent-soluble aromatic polyamide having compatibility to an aliphatic imide that is the precursor of the aliphatic polyimide as a reinforcing fiber molecule.
