PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information holding device that holds map information including height information on installed bodies at a periphery of a road reflecting actual state. SOLUTION: The map information holding device can be constituted specifically as a car navigation device or server device. Then the map information holding device holds the map information, which includes travelable state decision information including link information and height information on an installed body on a road corresponding to the link information. The travelable state decision information has the height information by traveling directions of roads and is made to correspond to the link. In this case, the map information holding device holds the height information on the installed bodies by the traveling directions, so the practical information on the installed bodies can be held.
