PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a projection-type image display device capable of adjusting the height of an image at a desired position, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The projection-type image display device 1 is equipped with a housing 20, and a projection lens unit 100 housed in the housing 20 and projecting the image, and is provided with a plurality of groove parts 110a to 110d, at positions different from each other in an optical axis C direction of the projection lens unit 100 on the base 20b of the housing 20, and each of the plurality of groove parts 110a to 110d is constituted so that a spacer having predetermined shape can be held to be freely inserted/pulled out, in a state where it is made to project from the base 20b.
