PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug capable of locally raising a temperature of a temperature raising portion, and quickly raising the temperature of the temperature raising portion. SOLUTION: This glow plug 100 comprises the temperature raising portion 110s for raising a temperature in being used while exposed to the external. The temperature raising portion 110s has an irradiated face 110sn irradiated with the laser beam LS. Further this glow plug 100 comprises a laser beam radiating portion 120 for irradiating the laser beam LS transferred from the other toward the irradiated face 110sn and raising the temperature of the temperature raising portion 110s, and a cylindrical portion 110c surrounding an optical path of the laser beam LS from the laser beam radiating portion 120 to the irradiated face 110sn.
