STILL IMAGE GENERATION SERVER, METHOD OF GENERATING STILL IMAGE, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a still image generation server which reduces load and generates still image data of motion picture data uploaded by a user, and to provide a method of generating still images and a computer program.

SOLUTION: The still image generation server 10 connected to a terminal 20 via a communication network 30 includes: a reception controlling means 111 for receiving motion picture data A consisting of a plurality of continuous image data (a) from the terminal 20; a still image generating means 113 which generates still image data (b) corresponding to the plurality of image data (a) which constitute the motion picture data A in response to the reception of the motion picture data A; and a storing portion 120 which stores the plurality of generated still image data (b) and the motion picture data A in an associated manner. The still image generating means 113 generates the still image data (b) which is the image data (a) improved in image quality.
