<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily select a broadcast program preferred by himself/herself. <P>SOLUTION: When displaying an image based on image signals supplied from an external interface section 21 or an input terminal 23, a signal processing section 23 generates the feature vector JV of content on the basis of the supplied image signals. A control section 50 classifies the content on the basis of the feature vector JV, and detects the preference of a user on the basis of results of classification. A demultiplexer 14 extracts program information multiplexed on the television broadcast signals. The control section 50 selects a program corresponding to the user's preference determined on the basis of the results of content classification, and displays the selected program on, for example, a screen of a display section 60, thereby notifying the user of the selected program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
