<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structured electronic key system which enables user and the like away from a vehicle to confirm a locking/unlocking state of a vehicle door. <P>SOLUTION: When one of operation parts 5, 104 is operated and a control part 109 locks or unlocks a door of a vehicle 101, an lock/unlock status signal is sent from a transmitting part 102 to a receiving part 3 of a potable device 1, and a control part 9 stores this signal in a storage part 4.
