PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for extracting partial shape data in an object, capable of reducing the operation man-hour based on shape data of the object. SOLUTION: The device comprises a screen display means 11 which screen-displays the object based on the shape data of the object; a typical surface designation information input means 12 which receives input of typical surface designation information showing information for designating an optional surface in a part to be extracted of the screen-displayed object as a representative surface; a continuous surface detection means 13 which detects a surface directly continued to the representative surface or a surface indirectly continued thereto through the other surface; and a shape data extraction means 14 which extracts shape data corresponding to the representative surface and the surface directly or indirectly continued to the representative surface from the shape data of the object.
