PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document monitoring device, a document monitoring program and a document monitoring system which, when determining the similarity between documents processed by an image processor and confidential documents managed by a document management device, selects some of the confidential documents to be judged from all the confidential documents managed by the document management device, to determine the similarity. SOLUTION: For the confidential information of each confidential document, the confidential information of the confidential document managed by DMS-3 and its feature quantity are stored in a document feature quantity DB-16. Some of the confidential documents whose similarity to image logs sent from the image processor 2 are to be determined are selected based on the confidential information of each confidential document stored in the document feature quantity DB-16. The similarity between the feature quantity of the some of the confidential documents selected and the feature quantity of the image logs is computed; if the similarity computed is equal to or greater than a certain value, a notification unit 19 notifies a manager PC-5 of warning information.
