PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a driving method for changing voltages in a capacitance line with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A pixel 110 includes a pixel capacitor and a storage capacitor. A first capacitance line 131 and a second capacitance line 132 are provided in each row, in which the other terminal of the storage capacitor in an odd-numbered column is connected to the first capacitance line while the other terminal of the storage capacitor in an even-numbered column is connected to the second capacitance line. A capacitance line drive circuit 150 has TFTs 51 to 56 in each row, wherein for example, when a scanning line in the first row is selected, the first capacitance line 131 is connected to the first feeder line 181, and the second capacitance line 132 is connected to the second feeder line 182, respectively; and when a scanning line in the second row is selected, the first and the second capacitance lines in the first row are connected to a third feeder line to raise the voltage level of the first capacitance line 131 in the first row byΔV and to decrease the voltage level of the second capacitance line 132 in the first row byΔV.
