COLLAPSE PREVENTION METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION OF BANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapse prevention method of construction of a bank which can effectively prevent a bank of a river or the like from collapsing even when river water or the like suddenly rises because of localized torrential rain or the like with simple ingenuity and low cost.

SOLUTION: One end of a drainage reinforcement pipe 6 is made an open end 7, and the other end is blocked by a blocking part 8. The drainage reinforcement pipe 6 has a porous area 9 and a non-porous area 10. A plurality of holes 11 are formed in the longitudinal direction in the porous area 9, and no hole is formed in the non-porous area 10 having a predetermined distance L. Then the drainage reinforcement pipe 6 is vibrated and press-fitted from the back slope surface 5 side into an embankment body 1 in a downward-slanting state so that the open end 7 is exposed to the surface and that a predetermined distance L' from the embankment body 1 to the back slope surface 5 includes the non-porous area 10. Then the embankment body 1 is reinforced by consolidating an embankment surrounding the drainage reinforcement pipe 6. When the ground water level has risen because of the penetration of penetrating water into the embankment body 1, the penetrating water is discharged from the open end 7 through the medium of the hole 11 of the drainage reinforcement pipe 6.
