PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor whose vibrations and noises can be prevented from being radiated outside to enable a silent operation and further whose supporting leg fixing strength is sufficient, and further to provide a refrigerating cycle device using the same. SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor comprises a plurality of the supporting legs which is welded to an underneath of an outer surface of a hermetic container, include supporting surfaces which support a lateral side of the hermetic container and have a curvature radius approximately equal to that of an outer circumference of the hermetic container; a mounting surface provided with a rubber seat mounting hole bent an approximately horizontally outside from a lower end of the supporting surface; and a prolonged portion extending downwards from the mounting surface to a lower position than a bottom of hermetic container.
