摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having a structure capable of preventing accumulation of fuel. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 1 includes a cylinder head 30 that constitutes an intake port 32 and a sleeve member 20 that constitutes an intake port 21 by fitting to a recess portion 31 of the cylinder head 30. The sleeve member 20 has a cylindrical shape having a top portion 85, an outer peripheral surface 82 and an inner peripheral surface 81. The sleeve member 20 has a coefficient of thermal conductivity smaller than that of the cylinder head 30. A gap 22 is defined between the top portion 85 of the sleeve member 20 and the cylinder head 30. The sleeve member 20 has a through hole 23 extending from its outer peripheral surface 82 to its inner peripheral surface 81. The through hole 23 is disposed at a position higher than the gap 22 in the vertical direction. The fuel 45 accumulating between the outer peripheral surface 82 and the recess portion 31 is discharged from the through hole 23 to the inner peripheral surface 81. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
