PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defreezing device for a vehicle capable of defreezing window glass in a comparatively short time by reducing a load of a battery. SOLUTION: This defreezing device is provided with a defreezing mechanism for eliminating the freezing of the window glass of the vehicle, a defreezing mechanism control means for performing the switching control of the defreezing mechanism between an operation and a stop, a power generator generating power based on the engine speed of the vehicle, a power generation amount detection means for detecting a power generation amount of the power generator during the operation of the defreezing mechanism and an adjustment command output means for outputting a command to adjust the idling engine speed of the engine of the vehicle.
