PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high precision welding method especially for welding a cylindrical member to a plate member, and welding jig therefor. SOLUTION: When welding an internal gear 1 consisting of a plate section 3 and a gear section 2, welding work is carried out by placing a tapered collet 5 to a tapered seat 14, applying a force from the inside of the gear section 2 to outward in the radial direction, expanding the diameter of an edge section opposite to an edge section to be welded in the axial direction so as to become larger than that of the edge section to be welded.
