PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enabling swift and uniform coating a fixed quantity of grease even when an unskilled worker coats the inner circumference face of a through-hole including a hinge mechanism of a vehicle sheet with grease. SOLUTION: In the method for coating grease to the hinge mechanism composed so as to enable a second member 120 to be rotated about a rotary shaft 111 to a first member 110 by inserting the rotary shaft 111 formed on the first member 110 into the through-hole 121 formed on the second member 120, the gap F is coated with a grease G of a quantity overflowing when a block body 43 is inserted from one opening to the other opening so as to block one opening of both openings in the through-hole 121 of the second member 120 and also have a gap F to the inner circumference face of the through-hole 121, and the rotary shaft 111 of the first member 110 is inserted into the through-hole 121 of the second member 120 with the insertion kept.
