PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coated wood product which is lightweight and is very like to an uncoated wood one in touch, appearance, and texture. SOLUTION: The surface of a wood product is undercoated with a primer. The undercoated wood product is coated with a coating composition comprising 10-60 wt.% silicone resin particles having an average particle diameter of 1.5-12μm and a hardness of F or harder in terms of a pencil hardness and 90-40 wt.% binder having a hardness of F or harder in terms of a pencil hardness when measured on a coating film entirely consisting of it to give an anti-slip effect to the surface to better its touch of hand or foot.
