PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle capable of enduring the horizontal tension larger than a conventional structure and achieving excellent anti-tension effects. SOLUTION: A locking part 11 is disposed to project upward on the front end side of a storage space 10 formed within a female member 1, and corresponding sliding groove 15 and guide part 22 are disposed between a sliding member 2 attached to the surface of the female member 1 and the female member 1. The sliding member 2 is horizontally movable forward/backward on the surface of the female member 1 to cover or expose the locking part 11 of the female member 1. When the sliding member 2 presses urging means 4, the sliding member is removed from the locking part 11 to expose the locking part 11 to engage with a corresponding engagement part 31 of a male member 3. When the pressure against the sliding member 2 is released, resilient restoration force of the urging means 4 presses and urges the sliding member 2 to a position over the engagement part 31 of the male member 3 to prevent the male member 3 from being removed from above in the vertical direction.
