PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner enabling the decrease of user's load for moving a vacuum cleaner main body during cleaning. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 100 includes a suction opening body 110 with a suction opening, the main body 120 having an electric blower for generating suction and a dust collecting room, a carriage 130 for supporting the main body 120, a first drive wheel 140a and a second drive wheel 140b for moving the carriage 130, an extension pipe 151, a connection pipe 152, a suction hose 153 and a joint 154, which connect the opening body 110 with the main body 120, a first swivel shaft 132a and a second swivel shaft 132b for swiveling the main body 120 around the carriage 130, and a control part 190 for driving the wheels 140a and 140b according to swiveling of the main body 120 around the shafts 132a and 132b.
