A photovoltaic solar energy collector suitable for use in a solar energy collection system that tracks movements of the sun along at least one axis. The collector may have an aperture and having at least one reflector panel, at least one solar receiver, each solar receiver including a plurality of photovoltaic cells having cell faces that are oriented substantially perpendicular to the collector aperture, and a support structure that supports the at least one reflector panel.
