<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating or vaporizing device for low temperature fluid, and a method for operation thereof, capable of achieving similar effect to that under a stationary load, regardless of variation of feed quantity of low temperature fluid, and maintaining large temperature lowering of heat medium. <P>SOLUTION: The heat medium (sea water or circulation water) is fed to flow down along both surfaces of heat exchange panels 1 to heat or vaporize the low temperature fluid (LNG, LPG, ethylene gas, LP gas, etc.) that passes inside heat transfer tubes that compose the panel. Toward the inlet of headers 4a and 4b and/or before the inlet of manifolds 6a and 6b, adjusting valves 11a, 11b, 12a, and 12b are installed. The adjusting valves are preferably installed on a trough in which the heat medium flows down. In operation, supply of liquefied gas to part of the panels is stopped in accordance with variation of supply quantity of the low temperature fluid, while flow under a stationary load is maintained to the rest of the panels by operation to the adjusting valves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
