<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that since conventional contour emphasizing processing is provided to perform contour emphasis processing to a whole image with the same criterion, it is impossible to change contour emphasis strength to the designated region of an image in the case of emphasizing only the face of a person. <P>SOLUTION: This contour emphasizing method includes: a contour emphasis correction coefficient calculation process for calculating a distance from the arbitrary prescribed coordinates of one frame digital image to designated coordinates for performing the correction of contour emphasis processing, and for calculating contour emphasis correction coefficients according to the calculated distance; and a contour emphasis processing correction process for correcting contour emphasis processing in the pixel data of the designated coordinates to which the contour emphasis processing has been operated by using the outline emphasis correction coefficients calculated by the contour emphasis correction coefficient calculation process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
