PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the same setting with ease simultaneously in many television receivers. SOLUTION: In a television system 1, a server 10 is provided. The server 10 and set top boxes 21 to 24 are connected by a network, and respective television receivers 31 to 34 are connected with the respective set top boxes 21 to 24. Here, one set top box and one television receiver are provided in each room. Bidirectional communications are carried out between each television receiver and the set top box connected with the television receiver, and bidirectional communications are also carried out between each set top box and the server 10 via the network. A setting remote controller (a remote controller transceiver) 40 for operating each set top box and each television receiver by remote control is used.
