PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolation technique with which the sense of resolution of a generated image is not damaged, while suppressing occurrence of noise, even with respect to images with much noise. SOLUTION: Pixel signals of a Bayer array are output from an imaging device 10. A correlation calculating section 31 calculates the correlation value in the vertical direction and in a horizontal direction for a target pixel. A first interpolation section 331 evaluates a correlative relation high and performs pixel interpolation processing. A second interpolation section 332 evaluates the correlative relation to be comparatively low and performs pixel interpolation processing; the signal of perfect RGB output from the first interpolation section 331 is converted into a luminance signal in a first color space converting section 341; and the signal of perfect RGB output from the second interpolation section 332 is converted into a color difference signal in a second color space converting section 342.
