PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the exchange of mail addresses by a simpler method between users having terminals capable of transmitting/receiving electronic mails. SOLUTION: A mail address exchanging server 20 receives an electronic mail 41, and determines whether the mail address of the received electronic mail 41 is related to the destination mail address of electronic mails received in the past. If the mail address has no relation, the server 20 stores the destination mail address as a new mail address 50 for mediation, and associates the mail address 50 for mediation with the mail address 51 of the transmission source of the electronic mail 41 prior to storage. After that, the server 20 receives an electronic mail 42, and judges whether or not the destination mail address of the electronic mail 41 is related to the stored mail address 50 for mediation. If it is judged that the addresses are related with each other, the server 20 notifies the transmission source mail address 51 of the transmission source mail address 52 of the electronic mail 42, and notifies the transmission source mail address 52 of the transmission source mail address 51.
