PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a carriage assembly preventing tilt of a suspension from a reference angle caused by deformation of a spacer part as much as possible by suppressing collision of a press member pressing a ball and an inner peripheral plane of a spacer hole of the spacer part in a calking process in which a spacer hole peripheral edge part is calked by pressing a ball whose diameter is equal to an inner diameter of the spacer hole or more by an ultrasonic-vibrated bar type press member or a normal press member to pass through the spacer hole, and to provide an assembling device used for the same. SOLUTION: A guide member 46 which guide a press member 40 so as to pass through on an almost center axis line of a spacer hole 12a in a calking process and which comprises an elastic material is attached to an inner peripheral plane of a through hole 36a of a gap holding plate 36.
