PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ice cutting machine capable of safely and easily housing ice mounted on a carriage in a freezer, preventing easy melting of ice even when the ice is mounted on the carriage, and having an inexpensive manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The ice cutting machine is provided with the carriage 9 attached with a cutting blade 11 for cutting a chunk of ice, an ice presser 7 pressing down the chunk 8 of ice mounted on the carriage 9, a motor 3 turning the ice presser 7, and a gear mechanism 6 capable of lifting and lowering the ice presser 7. It is also provided with linkages 13, 13e, 14, 14a, 15, 15a, 16, 16a, 17, 18, 18a, and 20 for lifting the chunk 8 of ice mounted on the carriage 9, and opening a gap between the chunk 8 of ice and the carriage 9.
