A disposer in which the amount of noise leaking to the sink side is reduced without making a noise-proof structure complex. As shown in Fig. 10A, the disposer has a kitchen refuse input section into which kitchen refuse to be crushed is inputted and that is installed on a water discharge opening of the sink, and the disposer also has an opening/closing lid (8) removably mounted at the kitchen refuse input section. The opening/closing lid (8) has a recessed water containing section (70) formed at the center of the lid (8), and also has, at the outer periphery of the lid, an annular flange at a position above the water containing section (70). A flange outer edge section (612) forming the annular flange has a lid body (108) engaged with the inner surface of the kitchen refuse input section, and also has water passage holes (68a) formed in the lid body (108), on the inward side of the flange outer edge section (612) of the lid body (108). The flange outer edge section (612) is located at the same height as or below the water passage holes (68a). |
