METHOD FOR PRODUCING POROUS MEMBRANE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMER ELECTROLYTE, POROUS MEMBRANE, POLYELECTROLYTE MEMBRANE, AND SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous membrane with precise through holes by performing pore forming processing while suppressing melting or sagging of a polymer film or polymer sheet, and to provide a fuel cell improved in output voltage and current density by using this porous membrane as a solid polyelectrolyte membrane.

SOLUTION: The porous membrane is produced by irradiating a polymer film or polymer sheet with ultrashort pulse laser having a pulse width of 10-9sec. or less while cooling the polymer film or polymer sheet so as to be kept at a melting point thereof or lower to form a plurality of through-holes simultaneously in the thickness direction of the polymer film or polymer sheet. A composite polyelectrolyte membrane is produced by filling an electrolyte generating monomer in the through-holes of the pore membrane, and then polymerizing the electrolyte generating monomer.
