PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low-sulfur fuel oil suitable for a next-generation off-road diesel vehicle and having both of lubricity and low-temperature fluidity. SOLUTION: The low-sulfur diesel oil has density of 0.7900-0.8200 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, a sulfur content of≤10 ppm by mass, a nitrogen content of≤10 ppm by mass, kinematic viscosity (30°C) of≤2.00 mm<SP>2</SP>/s, a flash point of≥40°C, an initial boiling point of≥140°C, a 90% distillation temperature of≤260°C, an HFRR of≤460μm, a cetane index of≥45, a residual carbon content of 10% residual oil of≤0.10 mass%, a pour point of≤-45°C, a fatty acid lower alcohol ester content of 1.0-5.0 mass%, a triglyceride content of≤0.01 mass%, a 1-4C lower alcohol content of≤0.01 mass%, an acid number of≤0.13 mgKOH/g, a total content of organic acids (formic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid) of≤0.003 mass%, oxidation stability of≤0.12 mgKOH/g and a gross calorific value of≥36,660 kJ/L.
