The valve (330) has a valve base (35) including a peripheral groove (36) provided for receiving an edge of a cylindrical rim hole. A nut e.g. star nut, receives a torque that is destined to rotate the valve in the hole by a latch key. An attachment part (337) has an integration unit that integrates the valve with a box that is mounted inside a tire such that the attachment part is disintegrated from the box when the valve is rotated in the hole along a predetermined rotation direction e.g. threaded direction, of a valve mouth (31). An independent claim is also included for a method of disassembling a snap-in type tire expansion valve.
