摘要 A method for preparing hydroxypropylated starch is provided to secure convenient process, fast reaction time and low manufacturing costs and to maintain a microorganism disinfection effect, enzyme inactivation effect, and the natural taste and nutrient of raw materials. A method for preparing hydroxypropylated starch by using ultra high pressure comprises a step for manufacturing the starch suspension by adding distilled water in starch; a step for adding propylene oxide in the starch suspension; a step for applying ultra high pressure more than 100 MPa to the starch suspension added with the propylene oxide; and a step for obtaining the hydrosypropylated starch by washing and drying the ultra high pressure-applied starch suspension. In a step for manufacturing the starch suspension, the content of the starch is 0.05-40 weight% based on the total weight of the starch suspension.
