A volumetric 3D image reproducing device using the size variable mapping technology is provided to the resolution of a restored 3D image by using the volumetric 3D image reproducing technique which use the circular mapping. An image pickup unit(10) picks up a 3D object and then obtains an element image. An image extracting unit extracts a one-dimensional element image from the obtained two-dimensional element image. A computer restoring unit restores the two-dimensional element image, obtained in the pickup unit, into volumetric 3D image at a specific location by using the size variable mapping technology. The computer restoring unit reproduces the 3D image as sequentially increasing the distance.
