A protection tube for an optical cable from damage is provided to maintain the quality level of FTTH by preventing the cable from being damaged. A protection tube(3) for an optical cable from damage is comprised the form of the cylindrical pipe in the natural state. A wrinkle(35) is molded in the inner side of the protecting tube into the longitudinal direction. The shape supporting wire maintaining the shape of the broken state of the protecting tube is formed in the center of the protecting tube along the longitudinal direction. The shape supporting wire has the constant rigidity and is curve-cut at the constant angle range. The shape supporting wire is formed of the material having the property that maintains the broken state.
