A method for sensing a rollover of a vehicle is provided to protect an occupant in preparation for the type of various rollovers of a vehicle by providing an algorithm including a critical value dynamically changing using a fuzzy function. A method for sensing a rollover of a vehicle comprises a step of detecting a roll rate of a vehicle(S401); a step of calculating a roll angle using the detected roll rate in case the detected roll rate exceeds a specific value(S403); a step of producing a fuzzy function by designating the roll rate, Y-axis acceleration, and Z-axis acceleration as an input factor(S407); a step of calculating through the fuzzy function and determining the output value as a threshold(S409); and a step of comparing the roll angle and the threshold, and then deploying a passenger restraining device in case the roll angle exceeds the threshold(S411).
