<p>A hydraulic power unit (401) for operating a pivoted hydraulic cylinder (103) in a vehicle (101) with a tipping body (102) extendable by the hydraulic cylinder (103) is described, comprising a tank (402) for containing hydraulic fluid, and a pump (403) secured to the tank (402) for pumping the hydraulic fluid from the tank (402) to the hydraulic cylinder (103), wherein the tank (402) is sealed independently at least in part by a wall which is cylindrical or part-cylindrical for receiving the hydraulic cylinder (103) thereby to mount the hydraulic power unit (401) on the hydraulic cylinder (103). In this way the hydraulic power unit (401) moves with the hydraulic cylinder (103) during raising or lowering of the tipping body (102) of the vehicle (101) and there is no relative movement between the hydraulic power unit (401) and hydraulic cylinder (103).</p> |
