Rotary knob

The rotary knob has an adjusting element (1) driven and manually rotated opposite to housing parts. The adjusting element is provided for rotatably driving a ring-like ratchet contour element comprising a ratchet contour (11) which includes alternating ratchet elevations and ratchet recesses. The ratchet contour element is influenced by spring bias voltage, and is rotatably driven by a switchable gear i.e. planetary gear, based on switching position of the gear. The ratchet contour element is provided with elevations and recesses at a circumference of the ratchet contour.
