A print element de-prime method is provided to prevent the head damage by letting the ink flow from the print element by the ink supply channel when fault condition is detected. A print element de-prime method comprises a step of detecting fault condition based on the freezing possibility of print element ink(31) of a print element(30), a step of letting the ink evacuate, discharge, withdraw or flow from the print element by an ink supply channel(20) when the fault condition is detected, a step of detecting power loss, and a step of detecting power-down condition. |
