摘要 A 3D mesh model encoding device, a method thereof and a recording medium for recording the same are provided to improve the complexity of compression for the 3D mesh model by applying the entropy encoding by a differential pulse code modulation process and binary arithmetic encoding or decision bit encoding. A data analyzer(510) separates the data of an inputted 3D mesh model into characteristic peak information, attribute information and connection information. A mesh model quantizing unit(520) generates quantized peak information, attribute information and connection information by using the analyzed information. A differential pulse code modulation prediction performer(530) performs the differential pulse code modulation prediction of the 3D mesh model according to the quantized connection information. A entropy encoder(540) entropy-encodes the quantized information, and then outputs the entropy-encoded data in a bit stream type.
