METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING CONTENT CONSUMER'S PRIVACY

A method for protecting the privacy of a contents consumer and an apparatus therefor are provided to encrypt contents which will be used by a client so that a server cannot know the used contents, and then offer them to a plurality of clients. An encryption part(404) codes each content with different encryption keys. A key generation part(402) produces a plurality of decryption keys which can decode the encrypted contents. The decryption keys are different keys. A key offering part(403) provides the generated decryption keys to clients(410) having the authority for the contents. A content classification part(401) classifies contents which a contents server contains into a plurality of groups. Predetermined contents are contents belonging to one of groups.
