A pumping tube is provided to prevent backflow of the fluid when the revolving roller forces the pumping tube by setting the ratio between the inside diameter and the wall thickness of tube over 5. A pumping tube includes a tube wall(1a) consisting of an inner rubber layer(3), an outer rubber layer(4), and a reinforcing code layer(5). The inner periphery of the tube wall is tapered toward the discharge side, so that the fluid is pressurized more as being close to the discharge side. The inner rubber layer becomes thicker toward the discharge side, so that the lifetime of the discharge side is improved. The outer periphery of the tube wall is tapered toward the discharge side at the taper rate smaller than that of the inner periphery. The inner diameter to thickness ratio(d/t) of the discharge side is set over 5.
