Device and method for sink-float-separation of solid particles having different densities

The device (1) has a separating chamber fillable with suspension of solid particles to be separated and a separating medium. An upper collecting head (4) and a lower collecting head (5) are connected to the separating chamber and provided for the solid particles that slump and float under gravity effect. A degasification device (30) is provided for removing gas dissolved in the separating medium. The degasification device is connected upstream to a mixing device (20) that is provided for mixing the solid particles with the separating medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for sink-float-separation of solid particles i.e. shredder granulates of plastics, having different densities.
