A pannier comprises a container portion and a connection system. Two connectors each have a portion rotatable between an opened position to allow the connectors to be installed onto the rod-like member, and a locking position in which the portions lock the connectors to the rod-like member, and a biasing member biasing the portions toward the locking position. The portions of the connectors each rotate about an axis transverse with respect to the rod-like member. The portions of the connectors are oriented so as to rotate in opposite directions with respect to one another when concurrently rotating to the opened position and concurrently rotating to the locking position. A strap connected to said portions of both of the connectors, the strap being positioned with respect to the container portion in a grasping position such that a pulling action on the strap concurrently rotates said portions to the opened position. |
