System for blocking the opening of an automobile rear door

The system has a towing hook (22) placed at back of a vehicle, where the hook takes an operating configuration and a rest configuration. Electronic and mechanical blocking units (30, 40) are provided for blocking an opening of a back opening frame (12) when the hook is in the operating configuration. The mechanical blocking unit (40) comprises a piece forming a stop against the back opening frame to prevent the frame from taking an open position. Detection units constituted of an obstacle sensor and an electric motor (42) detect that the hook is in its operating configuration.
