A vertical display system, in particular an advertising hoarding, is provided with an adjustable display surface. The system comprises an array of display elements each having a element display surface wherein the display elements are movable in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the display surface. The sides of the display elements may also be used as further display surfaces. Means for moving the display elements may be provided in the form of an electric motor or hydraulic system and this may be remotely operated to alter the configuration of the display surface. A light may be associated with each display element. |
