Liposomal-encapsulated taxane or an antineoplastic derivative thereof or a mixture thereof is provided which is used to effect a therapeutically enhanced method of treating cancer. The liposomal encapsulat ed paclitaxel allows for administration to a patient, particularly a human patient, in less than one hour without substantial toxicity.
