A system for notifying the arrival to a destination and a method therefor are provided to trace the location of a mobile communication terminal before the expected arrival time which is previously set, without continuously tracing the location, thereby reducing the power consumption. A mobile communication terminal(10) transmits a destination arrival alarm service request message to a destination arrival notifying server(20)(S10). The departure time when the service request message is transmitted is recorded in a log data managing unit(S12). An expected arrival time estimating unit estimates the expected time when the mobile terminal arrives the destination(S14). The mobile terminal traces the its location before the expected arrival time(S16). |
