An apparatus for removing foam in an alkali tank of strip cleaning line is provided to enhance the recycling of alkaline solution by changing the foam into reusable alkaline solution and to prevent damage to components due to corrosion. An apparatus for removing foam in an alkali tank of strip cleaning line comprises a cylindrical tank(12), a cover(15) which is mounted to cover the top of the tank; a bubble inlet pipe(16) which is connected to the upper center of the cover and let the bubble formed by the use of alkaline solution flow in; a separation funnel(18) which is formed in the shape of inverted dish and receives the bubble ejected from the bubble inlet tube; a deionized water pipe(20) which is formed in the center of the tank and supplied with the deionized water, and has deionized water nozzles(22) installed to spray the deionized water in the radial direction; an alkali solution discharge pipe(26) which is connected to the bottom of the tank and discharges the alkaline solution to the outside; and a partition pipe(28) which is connected to the top of the alkaline solution discharge pipe and has alkaline solution outlets(30).
